About
Welcome to the place where I
share what’s in my heart.
What’s hidden here in my heart is beautiful. There is beauty in the pain, in the happy, the sad, the joyful and especially the ugly. I’m here to be real. To share my rawness.
The beauty is why I’m here.
I’m sharing how I’m experiencing life, my children and myself while suffering beautifully after the sudden, accidental death of my husband, Grant Thompson. You may know him as The King of Random (TKOR - our popular YouTube Channel).
I knew him as my best friend, lover, husband, father and partner. I saw all the things you didn’t see, on camera and off. I am part of all the secrets to our success and the many lessons we learned from our failures and the pain that is part of the whole process.
I’m here to share his story and mine, because they are one interwoven story. In the last year of his life, Grant would almost daily wake up early to go flying. When he would come back to earth, his favorite thing to say was, “follow the energy of the day,” with all the vibrancy and enthusiasm a living person could possess.
I’m following the energy of the day for myself. My current life is not what I was ideally creating. Life is in fact, in the process of showing me a better way than what I could have planned. I certainly don’t know that I would have chosen to feel this much pain and heartache. It hurts.
But when life holds her hand out, you can take it or run away. If you take her outstretched hand, she gently but firmly, with the power of expansion, directs you where to go. The reality that not all of life is for you to decide becomes apparent. Surrendering to life’s lessons is the process she is intensely teaching me.
I want to share how it can be beautiful when you allow that process to flow through you, to change you, and to teach you how to be who you were born to be. That’s life’s job. Your job is to see it. Here is a story of that journey to see.
Love,
JANAE THOMPSON
