Connecting During Grief

Thanks for being part of this. I intend to bring more content, thoughts and inspiration. My objective is to show what I have learned and gone through without my husband because mine is not a common experience.

I certainly hope it’s not for many. It’s caused me to really look at my level of resiliency and what I am capable of as a human being. This is a human experience. As we go through life, we feel loss.

As we go through life, we have traumas. As we go through life, we have things that are so difficult that we exclaim to ourselves and others vehemently, ‘I’m never gonna get through this.’

What are the ways we actually do? That’s really my objective, and mostly because I’m trying to figure it out myself. I also have been very private about going through this.  I’m dealing with the grief that I have had.

Quite frankly, there’s moments where being private works really well. There’s also a lot of moments where being alone and trying to do it on your own does not work. So then, I’m trying to open up.

I’m expanding my ability to heal through this process. I’ve found that connecting with the emotional human that lives in all of us is the next new level of where I am going with this.

Regardless of which kind of experience, as each of us face the most difficult challenges of our lives, reaching out and not trying to do it alone is one of the most powerful things we can do.

Experiences look different for all of us and I’m discovering that I can still honor and respect that space to do it alone but also reach out. That’s my objective and my intention here.

I’m excited to hear your comments because they help me. This is part of my healing process after losing my husband. It’s the next step. I am a firm believer in following my heart in how it communicates to me what the next step is.

When my heart does this, then I get to start to figure it out, so that’s what I am doing here. Have a great day and thank you all.
